About Cebe

Jean-Louis Crestin-Billet founded the Cébé company in 1892 and chose Morez in the French Jura, the eyewear Mecca of France. At the end of the 19th century, he pioneered the design of specific sports eyewear, especially for alpinists and mountain sports. When winter sports boomed in the 1940s and became affordable for almost everyone, Cébé expanded its range to include helmets and glasses for skiers. In the 70s and 80s, Cébé made its big breakthrough and became increasingly well-known. Ingemar Stenark, a big fan and supporter of the company, who becomes five-time downhill world champion, also helps. Cébé wins countless awards and from then on also produces glasses for free riders, bikers and trail runners. In 2009, Cébé joins the Bushnell Outdoor Products Group. This opens up new opportunities for Cébé and gives them their own development and research department. This enables the brand to assert itself on the international market.
