In 1981, Willi Frei bought a small factory on the edge of the village center in Nussbaumen from a man named Rütimann. In addition to many men's clothing stores, Migros, Epa, Waro and ABM were among the customers. When globalization increased after the 1980s and with it cheap competition from Asia, various customer relationships were lost. Since the end of the 2000s, however, Swiss quality goods have been back in demand. In 2006, the two sons Marcel and Christian Frei took over their father's business. They are still continuing to run the business in the same spirit: federal companies such as the army, the Swiss Federal Railways and the customs authorities are now regular customers. Since its foundation, the company has produced belts and harnesses exclusively for resale, as it is not equipped for direct sales.
