About Outdoorwerk

Being equipped for all with the minimum of equipment is the dream of many outdoor athletes. Robert Bless and Christian Weber met in 2010 in snow flurries and sub-zero temperatures as part of their training at the Survival Outdoor School.

After years of development work, the congenial team, consisting of a primary school teacher (Robert Bless) and a sporting goods salesman (Christian Weber), presents manufactured products of the highest quality and functionality. Outdoorwerk, founded in 2013, offers an exquisite selection. Integral knives, sickles (machete), cooking stoves, all designed for outdoor activities.

The idea of a stove that works independently of gas and gasoline and has enough output for cooking outdoors in nature was Outdoorwerk's goal from the very beginning. It took five years from the idea to series production. The wood-burning stove was tested, further developed and optimized through dozens of prototypes. The result: a stove constructed in such a way that cellulose-based, even moist, flammable material can be used even under the most difficult conditions.

Each OUTDOORWERK knife is unique - developed and manufactured by hand in Switzerland with great attention to detail. Like a good friend, each of these knives is a loyal companion in all situations. Only the way a knife is used determines the grind, the steel and the shape. Outdoorwerk knives come in different steels and shapes, but the grind remains the same. The knife edges are ground convex, i.e. convex. This allows you to work more efficiently and for longer with less effort. The convex grind cannot be produced industrially, which is why this cutting edge shape is only produced by hand by a handful of knife makers around the world.
