About Sidas

Ski instructors Loïc David, Jacques Martin and Gabriel Pellicotti were looking for a solution to make poorly fitting ski boots comfortable for themselves. Their aching feet and their personal conviction that other people in the booming ski market also have these problems were driving force enough to deal with the subject intensively. Her realization: Every foot and its imprint are absolutely unique in the world. So why put all feet in the same, mass-produced shoes? The 26 bones in the foot are controlled by 33 muscles and held in place by ligaments and tendons. Under normal load, the foot strikes the ground around 4000 times a day. During long periods of strain, such as skiing, the foot becomes tired and deformed. The idea is that customized insoles provide precise support for the arch of the foot and prevent pressure pain, burning, numbness and cramps in the feet.

Unlike the orthopaedist's version, the soles were not intended to correct any misalignment, but to provide the best possible support for the foot in its given shape. This is how SIDAS began producing foam injection liners and individual insoles for ski boots in 1975, at that time still under the name "Conform'able". Today, SIDAS insoles can be found in football shoes, running shoes, hiking boots, cycling shoes and many high-quality everyday shoes. Over time, SIDAS has developed into "Your Foot Company". SIDAS enriches the market with innovative products for feet, shoes and insoles. The company's portfolio also includes socks, sandals, skin protection and foot warmers.
