The Blaze 94 is a versatile, intuitive touring ski. At 94 mm, it is already wide enough for powder days, but thanks to its short radius, medium flex and long but fine tip and tail rockers, it is also easy to ski on hard and difficult snow.
A very versatile as well as very intuitive ski. The Blaze 94 is a ski from Völkl that cleverly slots in between traditional tour skis and classic all-mountain skis. But arguing about whether it is a light all-mountain ski or an ultra-stable touring ski makes no sense from our point of view, because the Blaze 94 skis from the first turn as if you had never had any other ski. Its relatively short radius in the center of the ski and the relatively soft flex make it very easy to push the ski into turns. The fine tip and tail rocker together with the large radius at the ends of the ski give the ski a sportive character and help in difficult snow conditions. As you would expect from Völkl, the ski is quite elaborately constructed. The wood core is made of poplar and beech and is drawn continuously from tip to tail in order to be able to optimally control the flex over the entire length. There is also a Titanal plate under the binding to prevent the binding type from tearing out. To ensure that the ski still feels very smooth-running for its low weight, Völkl has used elastic material in the tip and tail with the "Suspension Tip".
