The Mammut Assist Belay Resistor is a light and compact rope brake that has been specially developed for rope teams with large weight differences. It is attached directly to the first quickdraw and increases rope friction there - ideal when a lighter person is belaying a heavier lead climber.

The patented cam design ensures that the resistance is only activated in the event of a fall or when lowering. The rope is never completely blocked, but continues to run in a controlled manner. This enables soft, dynamic belaying without hard stoppers.
