«Fair Trade Certified™ Factory» is a factory certification that aims to improve the livelihoods of workers. To receive certification, a factory must demonstrate that it meets the strict social requirements of the Factory Production Standard. In addition, a premium goes to the community development fund of the workers in each certified factory for each product sold. The workers then decide democratically how they want to use this money.
