The Salomon Genesis 2 is a trail running shoe designed for rocky, technical, and mixed terrain. It’s aimed at runners who are looking for plenty of stability and a secure footing on demanding trails without sacrificing a dynamic running experience.

At the heart of the shoe is the redesigned activeCHASSIS, which guides the foot and ensures stability with every step. The wide midsole with optiFOAM provides soft cushioning and protection, so the shoe feels stable even on longer runs.

The Matryx upper, with woven-in Kevlar threads, is exceptionally abrasion-resistant, light, and breathable—designed for constant contact with rocks and scree. The endoFit inner sleeve wraps around the foot and ensures a precise fit.

The All-Terrain contaGRIP outsole, with 4 mm-low lugs, provides grip: it grips reliably on wet, dry, and hard surfaces. With the quickLACE quick-lacing system, you can precisely adjust the shoe with a single pull.

For the second generation, Salomon has increased the width of the midsole for added stability and revised the lug geometry to provide even better traction.
