Sweaters & hoodies for men - popular classics

An outdoor tennisbag is not complete without a sweaters/jumpers. Sweaters/jumpers are worn almost all year round and are available in a range of styles, from super-fine to pleasantly warm. The pleasant and practical thing about sweaters/jumpers is their high level of comfort. It is simply pulled over the head: To pull over means nothing other than to pull over. As a men's sweater is usually elasticated from top to bottom, it also offers the greatest possible freedom of movement that a garment can offer.

Sweaters as outdoor clothing

Sweaters for men are great for wearing outdoors. You can choose from a wide range of fibres for this purpose. This choice depends on the season and the activity for which the sweaters/jumpers are being worn.

The wool sweaters/jumpers

A wool sweaters/jumpers can absorb a lot of moisture and still not feel wet. It also doesn't smell as quickly. It is usually enough to air it out at night. Merino wool is particularly soft, does not itch and is also suitable for sensitive people. Wool is warm, soft and a natural material - many people value this.

The fleece sweaters/jumpers

A fleece sweater scores points for its lightness. It is breathable and made from synthetic yarn, the properties of which are indispensable for many outdoor activities. Breathable fleece transports the moisture generated during your sporting activity to the outside and keeps you dry and warm. Dry skin is the most important prerequisite for ensuring that you don't freeze or catch a cold, even during breaks when you're not moving.

Hybrid sweaters/jumpers

The best of both worlds: a hybrid sweater is knitted from merino fibres on the inside, while the outside is made from synthetic, functional fibres. So you have both advantages, naturalness and lightness, combined.

Men's jumpers in all shapes

There is no such thing as a classic jumper shape. Jumpers can come with different necklines and details. A round-neck sweater and a V-shaped sweaters/jumpers already tell you how the neckline is shaped. Either the neckline is round and positioned relatively high on the neck or it forms a V.

Zip sweaters, which can be opened and closed with a zip up to chest height, are also very practical. This allows you to react quickly to changing temperatures. When the zip is closed, the body heat stays nicely inside. When you open the zip, you can let off a lot of steam. There's no lighter way to regulate your temperature.

A hoodie is a hooded jumper. Not only does it look cool, but it's also extremely practical when it gets cooler than you thought. You can even survive a short rain shower in the dry thanks to the hood. However, a normal hoodie is not suitable for continuous rain, as the hood will eventually be completely wet and would then lie uncomfortably on your back.

A troyer is a mixture of a turtleneck sweater and a zip-up jumper. When the zip is fully closed, a high, close-fitting collar warms the neck. If the zip is opened, the collar lies flat on the shoulders.

A turtleneck jumper is less suitable for sporting activities. It is not flexible enough and always stays high up around the neck. When the weather and body temperature change, the turtleneck can therefore get in the way.

Whether functional, practical or chic - jumpers for men usually differ slightly in shape from women's jumpers. Sweaters/jumpers for men usually have wider shoulders, long sleeves and a straight cut. Women's jumpers, on the other hand, have a slightly more tailored and feminine cut. In any case, the selection is huge and there are numerous models for men to discover for every sport and activity.
