December 2025 – January 2026
What was that again about the five typical danger patterns and critical slope angles? During the information evening, you will deal with the topic of avalanche awareness. In cooperation with two mountain schools, we organise 16 avalanche information evenings.
Together with our partners, the Höhenfieber mountain school (for German-speaking Switzerland) and Think Climb Live (for French-speaking Switzerland), we will give you a insight into avalanche science at the avalanche information evening. The information evenings are suitable as a supplement to a practical course or as a refresher for advanced students.
The following topics are covered, among others:
How does an avalanche occur?
Typical avalanche problems
Interpreting avalanche bulletins
Assessing avalanche danger
3x3 assessment and decision-making framework
Graphical reduction method and planning tools
Human conduct
Safety equipment: avalanche transceivers, probe, shovel, avalanche airbag, etc.
Information on further practical courses
Question and answer session
All of this in combination with a brief overview of the most important safety products – our experts tell you everything you need to know in a concise and direct way.
