The Arc'teryx Thorium Jacket W is designed for demanding conditions and works equally well as a warm midlayer or as a standalone outer layer. The abrasion-resistant outer fabric makes the jacket durable, yet it remains light and packs down small. A durable water-repellent impregnation allows light rain and snow to roll right off.

Down Composite Mapping technology ensures optimal warmth: European gray goose down provides warmth in sensitive areas, while Coreloft synthetic insulation is used in moisture-prone areas. The down-proof inner lining is partially made from plant-based raw materials, helping to conserve resources.

The helmet-compatible hood can be adjusted in a single step so that it doesn’t restrict your field of vision. Two zippered hand-warming pockets, one zippered inside pocket, and one mesh inside pocket provide space for essentials. The hem can be adjusted with a double drawcord to keep out drafts. A packsack is included for carrying the jacket in a backpack.

The gray goose down has a fill power of 750 cuin and, thanks to the Down Contour Construction, fits close to the body, keeping warmth where it’s needed. The light 30-denier Arato outer fabric resists abrasion but is fine enough to compress the jacket down to a small packing size.
