The Free Rider 26 S by Ortovox is a versatile ski touring backpack for mountaineers who want maximum freedom of movement and comfort on short, dynamic ascents and steep descents. The S version is specially designed for people with shorter backs and, in combination with the comfortable Clasp Back carrying system and elastic hip belt, offers a close fit.

Particularly practical: the variable volume with roll-top and side compression straps can be flexibly adjusted - whether you are carrying a minimalist load or a full load. An all-round zip on the back allows quick access to the main compartment.

The backpack also offers many easily accessible compartments: a separate dry compartment in the roll top, a large side bag, a small shoulder pocket and a valuables compartment. A probe, shovel and light ice axe can be stored in the separate safety compartment. A radio, helmet, skis, rope or ice picks can be quickly attached on the outside.

The robust ripstop material is PFC-free and has a water-based PU coating - for long-lasting performance with a lower environmental impact. If you want additional protection, you can use the optional Clasp Spine back protector.
