The Petromax care paste for cast and wrought iron made of natural ingredients maintains the pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) of Petromax Dutch Ovens and pans. It is also excellently suited for seasoning non-pretreated cast-iron Dutch Ovens. For long-term care, the food-safe paste consisting exclusively of natural oils should be applied after every cooking session. At the same time, the care paste protects against rust and unwanted sticking of food. Regular use of the food-safe care paste creates a high-quality patina over time - for a long pot and pan life.
