Do I need special clothing for winter?

How do I wash my cycling clothing correctly?

Cycling clothing should be washed as gently as possible to preserve its function and fit for as long as possible. Here are a few tips:

• Wash your bike clothing at a maximum of 30°Con a gentle cycle.
• Use a mild detergent, not fabric softener - this can damage breathable membranes and functional fibers.
• Close zips and velcros before washing so that nothing gets caught.
• Turn jerseys and trousers inside out to protect reflectors and prints.
• Do not tumble dry the clothing, it is best to let it air dry.

A special wool detergent is also recommended for merino cycling clothing - this is particularly gentle on the fibers.
