The revised ATC Guide from Black Diamond is not only versatile, but is also even lighter on the harness thanks to the material recesses in the body of the device. As usual, it offers several rope friction modes for belaying and abseiling and is also suitable for belaying two people. In principle, any rope can be used for this activity, as the ATC Guide is suitable for ropes with a diameter of between 8.1 and 11 millimetres. The ATC Alpine Guide is available for very thin ropes.
