The Katadyn Explorer is a versatile water filter for tours where you want to save weight and still reliably obtain clean water. Unlike the Explorer Pro, it comes without an integrated virus filter and is therefore lighter and cheaper.

The ceramic filter cartridge is durable and easy to clean. You can use or omit the activated carbon element as required. It improves the taste of the water and reduces odors - ideal for long tours or changing water sources.

The filter can also be upgraded to the Explorer Pro at any time with the optional upgrade kit. This allows you to flexibly adapt the system to your adventures. A robust steel pump plunger ensures a long service life. The pump clip with integrated tool makes maintenance easier. A pressure relief valve is installed at the inlet, which makes handling safe and protects the filter.
