Petzl Grigri

Safety devices with braking force support for ropes from 8.5 to 11 millimeters.

The Grigri from Petzl has become a classic safety device with braking force support. It is suitable for single ropes with a diameter of between 8.5 and 11 millimetres, both for lead climbing and top roping. The Grigri is easy to handle thanks to the braking force support (the hand must always remain on the rope) and the lever allows the braking effect to be perfectly controlled, so that rapid descents by the person at the other end of the rope are avoided. To prevent incorrect handling, the inside and outside show how the rope should be inserted.
